Nearpod is excited to announce improvements to the live-session experience with a new set of features and re-designs. The changes are aimed at simplifying the live-session experience.

1. Teachers can pause student devices for slides containing audio and video

Teachers now have the option to pause student devices when presenting slides that contain audio or video. When projecting the teacher dashboard, this makes it easier to manage bandwidth and prevent distractions that arise when the playing the same video or audio across many student devices simultaneously.

2. Teachers can maintain multiple active sessions

Teachers can now maintain multiple sessions of the same lesson simultaneously. Watch this video to learn more.

3. Nearpod has updated the Teacher Dashboard

The Teacher Dashboard has been given a face-lift and the Student Roster has been moved to the bottom toolbar. Now everything a teacher needs to navigate a lesson or monitor their students is all in one place.

Additionally, On the Fly activities are more accessible than ever. Teachers who want to insert a Draw It or Poll during a live lesson can easily create one using the On the Fly drop-down in the top-right of their screen.
