Frequently Asked Questions
That’s great that you have already completed the 3 steps to become a Nearpod Certified Educator (learn, create, teach)! To become part of this community simply fill out the NCE application.
Make sure you read the lesson guide so you know what your lesson needs to include before you submit your NCE application. If your lesson is not what we are looking for, update your lesson before you submit it in your application.
We check all new applications within two weeks of submission.
The qualification process to be part of this community is designed to not take a lot of time. The trainings on our resources page are between 30-60 minutes (you can choose from self-paced or live webinars). You also qualify if you get a live training at your school from a Nearpod Customer Success Manager or PioNear. The NCE application only takes about 10 minutes to fill out.
We understand how busy teachers are (a lot of us on the Nearpod team are former teachers), so we offer self-paced webinars that you can do at your own pace and on your own time. Find them on our resources page at this link.
Yes! You most definitely qualify if you are no longer a classroom teacher. The community is designed for all types of educators, and some of our most active members work in administration or central staff of a school district. Many community members are teachers, but a sizable population of NCEs is responsible for training and managing teachers.
We love it when our community members share Nearpod with colleagues and other teachers. Once you become part of the Nearpod Certified Educator community, we’ll actually supply you with materials specifically designed to support you in doing this.
Once you are accepted into the NCE community, and if you have a free Silver account, you will be sent a separate email giving you a coupon to level up to a Gold account for six months. The email will have the subject line “6-Month Gold Upgrade for being a new NCE!”
